I even attended college here because I love it so much. As a graduate from Washington State University Vancouver (WSUV) all I can say is Go Cougs! Thankfully my better half, David, is also a Cougar, but he went to the lovely Brigham Young University (BYU), which has a beautiful campus that our family loves to visit. David and I met through our church (learn more about it here). He is the best man I have ever met. Full of so much love, gratitude, spirituality, a positive attitude, friendliness, forgiveness, good looks, and work ethic. He completes me.
My husband was diagnosed with Epilepsy when he was six, underwent brain surgery at the age of 17, and learned how to re-read and write his senior year of high school. He then went onto community college, went on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and went to BYU. There he received honors for English and became an English tutor, all while prepping for a second brain surgery that fell through after years of testing. He is indeed my hero.
I have no intentions of looking for sympathy in our trials. We all have trials. David's story is one that is never ending and full of so much learning. He is my rock and seeing him go through the events that take place only make my love and compassion grow. There are many, many people in life that have medical ailments, making things a little bit tougher, but when we look for the blessings beyond the trial we feel so overwhelmed with love, gratitude, and support.
January 2013 we got to experience the biggest miracle we have ever witnessed, having our son Stephen. He is the light of our lives and such a smart little cookie. Each day brings forth new developments, expressions, tantrums, likes, and dislikes. He definitely keeps me guessing and I love it. I am a huge fan of change so he makes things easy for me. Stephen was born on the first day of my last semester of college. Some days I look back and don't know how everything was still completed, but wow I was blessed during such a busy time. I graduated and got to be a full-time stay at home mommy. I could not ask for more! It is such a reward and blessing to stay at home with Stephen. I know that many others have to sacrifice staying to provide for your family and I have such admiration for you because I could only image how difficult that must be.
We recently became self-employed and are loving this new, yet challenging adventure. Our business, A Brighter Future, LLC, is a real estate investment company. Our goal is to help others move forward with their life by helping them out of difficult real estate situations by providing pathways to a brighter future. We are excited to see what comes of our hard work and determination to reach our goals. Plus, this venture has given me the opportunity to apply my degree in Business Administration and continue to learn so much more.
We are a family full of love, laughter, openness, tenderness, spirituality, and ambition. Our family is a team and we love working together to reach common goals.
